For over ten years I’ve been teaching in many different capacities, and I am thrilled that my next adventure has brought me here to JCSMO. I graduated from The Master’s College where I received my teaching credential in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies. Upon graduation, I moved overseas where I taught third through fifth grade at an international school. It was there that I also met my husband and had my first child. My family returned to California where I taught art part-time at various schools and community centers throughout San Diego.
In 2017 my family was able to return to the same international school where we met and continued working there until 2022. During this time I began teaching the TK age group and I am looking forward to continuing in this role. Helping facilitate the transition of students from home to school with the goal of fostering a joy of learning, cooperation, and independence are key elements that I seek to instill in students. I am looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!
