Our Vision
The vision of JCS Mountain Oaks is to create a community of compassionate, innovative, life-long learners who continually strive for excellence. Our program’s aim is to promote an academically rigorous curriculum that values the different interests, learning styles, and abilities of each student.
About our Home Study Program
The JCS Mountain Oaks home study program provides a combination of parent-supported home study with the guidance and instruction of a GATE certificated educational facilitator/teacher. JCS Mountain Oaks prepares students for the world through GATE instruction and hands on learning. Students in this program will receive all of their curriculum, and have the option for additional supplemental materials. Students will have the opportunity to participate in field trips and additional extra-curricular activities including an after-school enrichment program and weekly learning center classes at our Encinitas campus (Fridays). Enrichment activities are provided at no cost to the student. These include field trips, events on campus, park days, and more.
