I have lived in the Encinitas area for the last 16 years while raising my five children. My first career was being a stay at home mom and now I am loving my second career as an elementary teacher. This will be my second year teaching at Mountain Oaks as a fifth grade teacher. I have taught first grade at JCS Cedar Cove and was a long term substitute with JCS as I finished my teaching credential and Masters program.

My philosophy is simple: Create an engaging classroom with my scholars! Teaching my students to enjoy learning and being curious while helping them become lifelong learners. I enjoy project based learning, student leading and incorporating student interests into our curriculum.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, movies, traveling, playing the piano, reading and spending time with my family. But my favorite monthly activity is visiting my grandson (2 year old, Saint).
