I am very grateful to be joining the JCS Mountain Oaks community this year teaching 1st grade! For the last 3 years I have been teaching kindergarten in Los Altos, CA. I believe in a classroom culture that prioritizes joy, kindness, and social emotional well being for my students. I am also passionate about supporting and nurturing my student’s love for reading. I am excited to learn and grow alongside my students this year.

I am originally from the Bay Area, CA, and have a strong background in Environmental Science and Ecology from my undergraduate degree and work as a Research Lab Manager at UC Davis. While teaching an after school STEM program for students K-5, I found my passion for being in the classroom. Soon afterwards I decided to shift my career to teaching, and received my credential and masters in teaching from UC Irvine.

​When I am not in the classroom I love spending time in the garden, at the beach, and at the farmers market with friends and family!
