Hello, my name is Delanie Cynewski. I am a Vermont native who moved to San Diego in 2023. I got my undergraduate degree from Roger Williams University in International Relations and Mandarin Chinese. I also earned my master’s degree in Elementary Education from Saint Michael’s College. This will be my second year at JCS Mountain Oaks. I taught 7th grade humanities last year, but I am excited to return to working with transitional kindergarten this year. In Vermont, I worked for a nature-based preschool for three years, and I am eager to incorporate that experience into JCS Mountain Oaks’ vision of promoting lifelong learners. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy exploring San Diego’s natural environment, practicing Pilates, going to the beach, and visiting farmers’ markets.
