Before living in San Diego, I spent the majority of my life living in Newberg, Oregon. I attended Willamette University in Salem, OR where I majored in Civic Communication and Media and minored in history. While at Willamette I competed in cross country and track and field all four years. Upon graduation I spent the following year in Eugene, OR, working towards my Masters of Education at the University of Oregon.
I could not be more excited to join the JCS family! I believe Mountain Oaks has captured and continues to strive for the possibilities of what education can look like. I’m looking forward to continuing my practice of being a lifelong learner while fostering and encouraging those practices in our scholars.
Outside of teaching, I love taking advantage of everything San Diego has to offer. You can frequently find me playing basketball and pickleball, or exploring trails and parks around the area with my dog, Luna.
