Ms. Eller is thrilled to be joining JCS as the new 7th and 8th grade science teacher! This is her first year at JCS and her third year of teaching. She is a proud alum of California State University, San Marcos, earning her B.A of liberal studies and Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and is passionate about creating hands-on learning experiences that make science come alive.
Ms. Eller’s love for science began during college while working as an Outdoor Adventures Guide, where she discovered just how incredible our natural world is. She has been hooked on Earth and Life Science ever since and loves helping students see that science isn’t just found in textbooks; it’s everywhere!
When she’s not in the classroom, you can usually find her planning her next adventure. She loves traveling with the goal of experiencing once-in-a-lifetime adventures, like hiking Acatenango, an active volcano in Guatemala! She also enjoys baking delicious gluten-free brownies, spending time outdoors, and unwinding with her favorite reality TV shows on Bravo.
Ms. Eller believes that curiosity, perseverance, and asking great questions are at the heart of learning. She hopes her students leave her classroom with a deeper appreciation for the world around them and the understanding that science is everywhere. She is looking forward to an exciting year filled with exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning!
