Michelle Bauzo-Romero

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I moved to San Diego when my husband joined the US Navy in 2007. I attended Purdue Global University where I earned my degree in Human Services- Child and Family Services.

I started working at JCSMO in 2018, when there was a need for someone who could supervise in the dining room. My children attended JCSMO and convinced me to apply for the job. I fell in love with the scholars and the JCS community. Since then I have provided support to the JCS community, scholars and their families. I enjoy supporting scholars in the classroom and in their unstructured times. I believe in fostering a learning environment that respects and values the diverse interests, learning styles, and abilities of each scholar, while consistently demonstrating compassion and kindness through attentive guidance and support.

Outside of JCSMO, I enjoy spending time with my family. You can find me at the soccer field with my daughter, the baseball field with my son, the movies or simply enjoying the weather in my backyard.

I am excited to bring my dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm to the JCSMO community, where I look forward to the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of scholars and families.
