When Catherine was young, her mom asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up and she always answered, “A mom!” She achieved that goal and has three wonderful daughters who are all smart, talented, caring, loving, and even one who teaches at JCS-MO! Her youngest daughter graduated from JCS-Mountain Oaks and is currently a senior at UMASS Amherst, majoring in linguistics with a minor in art.
Catherine spent many years volunteering in various capacities for organizations that focus on children including Everyone A Reader in which she was trained to help young scholars improve their reading skills. Besides working with kids one-on-one at JCS, you will find her in the dining room making sure the kids eat, are safe, and cared for.
In her spare time, you will find Catherine reading fiction and non-fiction, listening to health podcasts while walking her miniature poodle mix, writing, hanging out with her friends, gardening (or visiting gardens), checking out art museums, and planning travel. She loves to find amazing Airbnbs and has stayed at nearly 40 of them. Her dream is to travel the US and Europe in a small camper with her dog, and maybe have her own Airbnb one day.
